Course Description:
Introduces the history and philosophy of criminal justice in America, reviewing system recapitulation, sub-system identification, role expectations and interrelationships. Examines crime, punishment and rehabilitation theories, and ethics, education and training issues. Course Credit Limitations: Credit will not be awarded for both the honors and regular versions of a course. Credit will be awarded only for the first course completed with a grade of ā€œCā€ or better or "P". Honors Program requires a letter grade. Field trips may be required. Recommended Prep: ENGL M01A or ENGL M01AH. Transfer credit: CSU; UC.
