ECON M201 Principles of Microeconomics


 
Course Description:
Examines the function of the market mechanism and its strengths and weaknesses in allocating scarce resources in the economy. Develops a method of thinking by investigating and applying the principles of economic inquiry to the behavior of individual consumers, producers, and industries. Discusses the structure of industries and the distribution of resources. Prerequisites: MATH M03 or an equivalent Math course or placement as determined by the college's multiple measures. Transfer credit: CSU; UC. Formerly: ECON M01.
