Course Description:
This course provides students with an introductory knowledge of fundamental economic principles and economic data. By examining a variety of current economic issues and their historical origins, the course will prepare students to make critical evaluations of economic issues and policies. Emerging complexities involving globalization, outsourcing, challenges of new demographic patterns, international trade agreements, and labor-cost differentials, are some sample areas of interest. Field trips may be required. Recommended Prep: Eligibility for ENGL R101. Transfer credit: CSU; UC.
