Course Description:
This course is a survey of rock music from the late 1940's to the present--its musical, socio-cultural, and historical development. Emphasis will be on the roots and early development of rock; its stylistic trends and influential artists throughout the years, including the politics of rock and the impact of technology. Field trips may be required. Transfer credit: CSU; UC.
